It's the fifth set and it's like they're playing Roland Garros tennis but on grass.

Federer didn't take his chance in tie breaker.

1st set lasted way longer than women's final

Serena Williams?

She’s a man’s kind of guy.

I think a few of you need to take a look at yourself with your Serena comments, and find some respect for her legacy. I hope that she will continue to return to Wimbledon for many years, and hopefully win a few more mixed singles titles.

Ha at terry-h.

TBF, she's not played (relatively) as much as others since becoming a "mom". She looked a bit knackered and off-focus. She lost it early doors.

Not taking away anything from Halep though, who was brilliant.

Bit underwhelming for a final, mind. 10 year age gap. Old Father Time may have got to Williams. At last.

Bring on the slog-ball tomorrow. If Federer can win that, pretty safe to say he's the greatest tennis player of all time. I don't imagine it will be very entertaining though.

I dread to think how enormous Serena's arse will be when she's 50. If she ever goes swimming, people with harpoons will be taking aim.

Is the bloke who asked Konta whether she needed to take a good hard look at herself ready to ask Williams the same?
And then run

Maybe that dude who asked Konta if she wanted to win a grand slam will open his mouth again.

TBF, Williams was very gracious in defeat, Halep was excellent!

See how Williams press interviews go, they can be a bit more searching than nice Sue Barker's questioning!

Re: The 2019 Championships, Wimbledon
Not seen it but presume the Bbc are distraught that someone giving away about 6 inches and 50 lbs has thrashed Williams.

Dreadful God bothering bigot Margaret Court still holds the Grand Slam singles titles record.
God moves in mysterious ways

Good - I was hoping that there wasn’t going to be a repeat of the US Open shittery. Nice to hear a bit of respect.
